This new program focuses exclusively on the issues that adolescents face as they cope with loss. Adolescence, broadly defined, from middle school years to emerging adulthood, is a significant developmental period where adolescents form identity, independence, and intimacy. Illness and loss profoundly influence these processes. Moreover, adolescent encounters with loss are likely to be traumatic – deaths by accident, suicide, and homicide. This program explores the ways that healthcare workers, hospices, educators, social workers, counselors, clergy, funeral directors, and other professionals can assist adolescents as they cope with loss.

HFA’s 2014 Living With Grief® program is now available to registered sites in the following formats:
- Archived Streaming Video Webcast (online); available for viewing anytime until April 9, 2015.
- A DVD of the program is also available (for an additional fee)
The program is 2.5 hours, with an additional 30-minute local discussion (required for CE credits). Sites can schedule their own dates and times (between the dates of 4/10/14 and 4/9/15) to show the program.
A registered site is licensed to show this program at one, single location only (as defined by a physical street address). An unlimited audience may view the program at the registered site address. Sites may have multiple viewings thoughout the year at their registered location.

This program is valid for three (3) hours of CE credit. The CE cost, for any professional board, is $25 per person. CEs are available until April 9, 2015.
A "Certificate of Attendance" will be provided at no cost to attendees. Sites will be able to print this out ahead of time on the Download Area online. *Note: the Certificate of Attendance is not accepted by professional boards. HFA is approved by over 70 professional boards nationwide; available to attendees on HFA's CE site (email@example.com) for the above-mentioned fees.
CE credits are copyrighted by HFA. Participants are attending an event of Hospice Foundation of America (HFA). All CE certificates must be obtained directly through HFA. Boards approve the content developed by HFA, not by the viewing organization. Sites are not allowed to print their own Certificates (including a Certificate of Attendance). CE instructions will be provided to you in the download area online.
